New Article: How to build your own arcade system

A couple months ago I started out on a mission to build a home arcade system. I wanted to play all the classic video games as well as those console favorites. I played around with emulators before on my PC so I knew a little bit how it all worked. After months of researching a lot of different websites, I came up with a pretty economical plan that didn't require too much time and the end result was a highly polished professional arcade system.

Do you have any details on how you got MA to work with your SS controller?

I just got the same controller, but after I hooked it up, MA stopped loading the games. All I get is a black screen when it loads mame. If I use the mame32 GUI it works fine.

Have you experienced this before?

Thanks

Thanks for the article - it inspired me to setup my own mameroom system in the basement. I have everything now except the 21 inch monitor is looking a bit small compared to the rest of the cabinet and hopefully eventually I will find a decent 27 inch tv to replace it with :)

So it seems I am 4 years late on this reply. I just placed an order with North Coast Customs. Did your 27" tv fit snug into the display well? Or did you modify at all?

Pete--TV fit snug but not sure if they have changed the base model. Let me know how it works for you.
