White Noise on Blackberry- NO SOUND

Todd- so far I have seen a lot of people complain that their White Noise app has no sound after the latest BB firmware upgrade. And every time you point the finger back at BB making it their fault and directing people to contact BB. Enough people contact them and they fix the problem with YOUR app? Going through the BB maze to get this fixed is a non starter. Believe me I already wasted my time trying. Instead of sitting back and taking everybody's $2, why don't you figure out what the issue is, release an upgrade to fix the bug and make people happy? Or you go through BB app support, find out what the problem is and post the exact directions on this forum. That's what we as paying customers would expect. And in terms of refunding peoples money? I paid with Paypal- issue a refund to me through Paypal and again stop routing people through BB.

I've searched the forum and also the help forum for the developer website (tmsoft). There is an issue that with the new OS update (Version 6.0 Bundle 3084) the program "White Noise" will run, but has no sound (the whole point of the program). Per the TMSOFT support forum:

"BlackBerry seems to always break things when they release major releases. Please contact them about the specific issue that you have as White Noise utilizes their standard audio library. Hopefully if enough people complain they will release a firmware upgrade to fix the issue."

This is a common issue with ALL users as far as I can tell. Can someone please advise? Thanks..

I think we just have to accept the fact that TMsoft doesn't care about is customers. Otherwise, like my post alluded to, he would have fixed the problems with HIS app and not blamed BB and told everybody to fix it through them. At least it was only $2 and not more.

BTW, I copied and reposted your post on the BB downloaded app forum, which I suggest doing every coupleof weeks- somebody may pick it up and offer a solution, which at this point seems like a lot more than anything TMsoft has come up with.

Sorry again for your frustrations. We hate to see our app not work correctly but please understand that every time we have investigated an audio problem it has ALWAYS been either 1. A bug in BlackBerry firmware or 2. Corporate security settings disabling something on the device

We do not have control over firmware bugs -or- corporate security settings. White Noise only uses standard audio libraries that BlackBerry provides and this has worked since v4.0 of BlackBerry OS. You may have better luck if you post your exact firmware version and list out any other 3rd party applications that do not play audio correctly. Also always check to see if there is firmware upgrade for your device.

We cannot afford to purchase every combination of hardware and upgrade them to each specific firmware version. Especially for a $2 app. Instead, we have posted a FREE version of White Noise called White Noise Lite so that you may test it with your specific firmware and security settings to verify that it does play audio before making a purchase.
