White Noise Creator released!

Download White Noise Creator for Mac and package up new sounds to import into White Noise for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Create a custom sound title, description, photo, and loop any audio file into a WNA (White Noise Archive). You can then use iTunes file sharing or open it up as a file from the phone (e-mail, dropbox, etc). Please let us know what you think!

Hi,

I downloaded White Noise Creator. I made the image as required and then tried adding a .wav file and alternatively an .aif file. Both showed that the software was applying the "geniusloop" and "smoothing". The end result showed a time length of 0:00 and when I hit "play" the response was:

SoundBuffer Error: Invalid sound parameters
Soundsource Error: No source to play

I'll keep trying.

Hi-

I'm seeing the same issue - I have an mp3 I'm trying to convert to a White Noise Archive using WhiteNoiseCreator. It won't play within the Creator application (error is "SoundBuffer Error - Invalid sound parameters, then SoundSource Error - No source to play.), & won't export either (Failed to backup sound. Error 2).

I tried converting the mp3 to a .wav and an .aiff file - same issue.

Can you help with the above request, however? I've been unable to convert an mp3 to a .wna file in order to import it to The iPhone/iPad app.

There was a bug in earlier versions of Creator that would fail to create the work directory. To fix this, verify that the folder at ~/Library/Application Support/TMSOFT/ exists. If it does not, create it and it should work again.

This has been fixed in recent builds and an update will be posted soon.

White Noise Creator v1.1 is now available for OS X 10.6 and up.

No plans yet as the app itself is pretty unpolished. Any reason why you want that?

I downloaded the latest version of Creator on my Mac but am having same problems as others described. I really want to create a .wna file from an .mp3 and load it into White Noise, but when I click on "Open Asset" and then select my .mp3, there seems to be some brief processing yet nothing is created. Please help! Thank you! :)

We will look into it as it should convert.

Can you try first converting the mp3 file to a wav file and then running it through creator?

That might be a workaround.

I tired creating .wav file, but still having same problem. App seems to briefly process the file, but produces no result.
Is there a limit on the size of the file being processed? Let me know if there are any other parameters and I will try them.
